Homecoming October 29-30, 2010

Just in 10/27/2010:

September 2010

Dear Fellow 1960s and Special Others,

Our homecoming mini-reunion this year is Harvard game weekend, October 29 and 30. Upper Valley classmates have arranged enjoyable events for Homecoming, beginning with cocktails from 5:30-7pm on Friday in Casque and Gauntlet, a few steps from the start of the parade.

Saturday kicks off with our class meeting at 9 am in 104 Wilder, just down the stairs and ramp from Observatory Hill, where we tailgate every year: reports from class officers and, academic schedules permitting, class scholars and sponsored athlete. Bill Gould will brief us on SEAD (Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth), and we'll hear about our dorm art project from Gerry Auten, head of the Studio Art department.

After the meeting comes our usual hearty tailgate, Jim Adler at the grill with the help of Gretchen Hannon, Julie Smith and the others who traditionally make this a great event. The cost will be $5/ person or $15/ family- a steal.

The game against Harvard starts at 1:30pm (tickets on your own). Non game-goers can hike with the Hanlons or see the Stella show at the Hood, by Jon Cohen's special arrangement.

We wrap up the day in style with a free cocktail reception at McNutt Hall from 6:00-7:00 pm, followed by dinner in the Webster Room of the Inn. Check your selections for the day on the registration form and mail in with your check to Bill Moorman, Class of 1960, P.O. Box 6605, Jefferson City, MO 65102-6605 (the form is also on our website www.dartmouth.org/classes/60)

See you on the Green! By the way, if you are not listed in the Executive Committee and wish to be, let me know. We'll add you the next letterhead listing.
