Do you have what it takes to be THE recognized expert in your field?

At this point many/most of us are retired. When we retired we were probably quite expert in whatever we were doing at work. Many of us also have avocations in which we are equally expert. None of us are experts in everything that we need to do so we all need advice from time to time. So where should we turn to for advice? Our classmates are one such pool of experts if only we knew who was expert in what. We all shared a common experience at Dartmouth and hence have a lot in common, which leads to more trust than a blind poke in the yellow pages. An example that came up at the 45th reunion was a number of people facing prostate cancer. We were lucky to have urologists in a group discussion with a broad knowledge of options.
