Questions for November 2012 meeting of Alumni Council

Fellow 60's:

The 205th session of the Dartmouth Alumni Council (DAC) is scheduled for November 1-3, and I invite topics to raise during the meetings. I'd be happy to get answers to any questions you might have or bring up new ideas to discuss. I am still on the Enrollment and Admissions Committee and so would be particularly interested in issues related to that area. For your reference, the major items on the upcoming agenda are:

Alumni Council News May 2012

Class of 1960: On May 22, I sent you the highlights from my notes for the 204th meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Council (DAC) held May 17-19 in Hanover. This email has been posted on our web site (http://www.dartmouth60.org/) by our webmaster, Walt Daniels.

The complete notes, prepared by Steve Geanacopoulos '74 on behalf of the Communications Committee, are as follows:

Alumni Councilor News May 2012

Class of 1960: The 204th meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Council (DAC), my second as your representative, was held May 17-19 in Hanover. This email will provide you with the highlights from my notes to be followed up in about three weeks when the Communications Committee of the DAC issues its formal minutes.

Of the 125 members of the DAC, about 110 attended. The oldest was from the Class of '44 followed by the Class of '51. Other '60s that attended were Tom Andrews as a regional rep, Jim Adler as a former councilor and Mort Kondracke as a Trustee.

Input for May 17-19 Alumni Council Meeting

Fellow 60's:

The 204th session of the Dartmouth Alumni Council (DAC) is scheduled for May 17-19, and I invite topics you would like me to bring up during the weekend. For example, recent news items related to the college have been the nomination of President Kim to the World Bank and the hazing scandal involving the SAE house. Also, I am still on the Enrollment and Admissions Committee and so would be particularly interested in issues related to that area.

Included on the agenda are presentations by:

Good Reads and 1956 Film

Fellow '60's:

A few years ago, the Alumni Council's Alumni Liaison Committee created the Good Reads website, which is updated each summer and winter with faculty book recommendations. The winter 2012 edition is now online at:
